Veterinary simulators - Swine/ Pig

Pig anatomical models are irreplaceable tools used in education, research and veterinary practice. They are perfect for primary and secondary schools as well as veterinary universities. They offer visual and realistic representations of various internal organs of the pig, which is extremely helpful in learning anatomy, diagnosis and treatment planning. In our online store we have complete pig models, pig skeletons, models of internal organs, as well as pig trainers and simulators.

Pig anatomical structure:

The anatomy of pigs is a source of fascination and is characterized by several unique features. The head of these animals is relatively short and massive, and the nose, which is extremely movable, makes guinea pigs excellent sniffers. Thanks to this ability, they can effectively detect odors and precisely select food.
Pigs' eyes are large, round and usually have dark pupils. Contrary to popular myth, pigs are not blind - their eyesight is quite good. However, their key sense is their highly developed sense of smell, allowing them to detect odors over considerable distances and making them excellent food hunters. The anatomical internal structure of pigs includes a three-chamber stomach, similar to that of cattle. The process of food digestion begins in the stomach, where the food is broken down by bacterial fermentation. Pigs are herbivores, they eat a variety of foods, and their wide nose helps them select appropriate nutrients. Another interesting fact about pigs is their developed sense of touch. These animals are extremely sensitive to touch and can establish strong social bonds with other individuals in the herd. Their intelligence and ability to learn are equally impressive, making them relatively easy to train.
It is also worth noting the differences in the appearance of individual pig breeds, which may be characterized by different body shapes, fur length or ear shapes. These features give pigs not only a unique appearance, but also specific adaptive features that influence their lifestyle and behavior.

What does the OpenMedis online store offer?

Due to following market trends and the desire to reach as many customers as possible, we try to include a variety of models in our assortment, both comprehensive and divided into individual body parts, as well as ultrasound diagnostics simulators. Below are some of them:
  • Breeding Pig Model - this model can be divided into 20 elements and was made on a scale of 1:2. It is divided into two parts in the middle section. One side of the pig model shows the animal's external appearance (skin) while the other shows the exact superficial musculature. The left side of the pig model shows the head muscles, major blood vessels and glands (the parotid gland can be detached), and the auricle cartilage (also detachable) and the left forelimb. After separating the two halves, the chest wall and abdominal wall are visible on the inside. However, on the opposite side you can demonstrate the topography of the internal organs.
  • Pig skull, replica
  • Pig stomach model - realistic model of pig stomach. Fully colorful. Stabilized on the base. The model is divided into 2 parts, each of which presents the internal and external structures of the pig stomach.
  • A simulator for learning pig/swine insemination - artificial insemination (AI) is already a common procedure on pig farms. The presented trainer is a practical educational aid for future breeders, zootechnicians, veterinarians and veterinary technicians. This trainer allows you to learn proper artificial insemination techniques.
Our models perfectly reflect both the external and internal structure, which allows for a comparative analysis of the pig.

Pig models - application:

  • Education – an excellent tool used both at veterinary universities and in primary and secondary schools.
  • Scientific research - allows you to present the physiology of the animal body and explain the mechanisms of conducting research.
  • Lectures, conferences - pig models are perfect for various types of fairs, lectures and conferences. Their precise structure and workmanship allow for a very spectacular presentation of this group of animals.
  • Decoration – equipment for veterinary offices and clinics, as well as lecture halls
Our pig models are made of very durable materials, are delivered with a stand, and are properly secured during transport.
We also recommend taking a look at the offer of cattle models and horse models, which, combined with pig models, will create an ideal set for learning anatomy and physiology.
If you have any questions or the pig model you need is not available in the store, please contact us via e-mail or telephone. We are sure that together we will be able to provide the necessary materials for learning and improving skills. We can produce models to order.
