Veterinary simulators - Reptile

Reptile models are an excellent tool for students of veterinary universities, primary and secondary schools during biology and anatomy classes. Anatomical models are very often used to decorate offices or lecture halls. Thanks to three-dimensional shapes, it is possible to discuss the exact structure of animals, their life functions and their impact on the ecosystem. Their realistic appearance and attention to reproduction of all elements allow them to be used for comparative anatomy and other research. Our online store includes models of reptiles: lizards, snakes and turtles.

Reptile anatomy:

Anatomical models of reptiles are particularly useful due to the great diversity of this group of animals. Reptiles are characterized by certain common structural features, such as a body covered with scales and the presence of limbs transformed into pedunculated limbs or claws. However, there are also significant differences between different types of reptiles, which are reflected in anatomical models.
  • Lizards - a group of squamate reptiles, divided into quadrupedal and legless with an elongated body. Their structure includes eyelids, diapsid skulls, strong jaws, differently shaped tails and five-fingered limbs, and they have ribs along the entire length of the spine.
  • Snakes - a suborder of squamate reptiles, have a jaw apparatus that allows their mouths to open very wide. The snake's body is elongated and legless. Some species have up to 400 vertebrae.
  • Turtles - are among the amniotes. The torso of this group is covered with armor, which is intended to protect the animal. Turtles can survive on various continents except Antarctica.
