Veterinary simulators - Amphibia

Anatomical models of amphibians are an invaluable tool for primary and secondary school students and, above all, for students of veterinary universities. They provide visual, three-dimensional representations of various reptile species, which makes them indispensable in science. Their incredibly realistic appearance and accurate reproduction of all details allow them to be used in comparative anatomy research and other scientific explorations. In our online store, we offer a variety of amphibian models, including both skeletons and models of entire organisms. Thanks to them, learning becomes even more fascinating and effective.

Anatomical structure of amphibians:

Amphibian skin is usually moist and smooth. Some species of amphibians have mucous glands that help increase moisture and protect against water loss. The body of amphibians is elongated and covered with skin. There are three groups: tailed (e.g. salamanders), tailless (e.g. frogs) and legless (e.g. blind monkeys). Most often, amphibians have four limbs, which distinguishes them from reptiles, which usually have only two pairs of limbs. These animals are adapted to move both in water and on land. Amphibians breathe using their skin and lungs. Some species also have additional adaptations, such as sac lungs. An interesting fact is that male frogs have resonance sacs, which they use to make sounds during mating. In the structure of the heart of amphibians, we can most often observe a heart with two atria and one ventricle, which distinguishes them from birds and mammals, which have hearts with two chambers.

What the OpenMedis online store offers:

Due to following trends and the desire to reach as many customers as possible, our store is stocked with various models that realistically reflect the appearance of amphibians, showing the external structure but also those that show the internal organs of this group of animals. Below we present some of them.
  • Water Frog, 4 times enlarged, made of 3 parts - the model shows the anatomical preparation of the abdominal side of a male frog. The liver and gastrointestinal tract are removable, allowing the deeper organs to be presented. An additional model shows the ventral side of the urinary tract and genitals of a female frog for comparison purposes.
  • A frog skeleton model on a wooden base - it is an excellent teaching aid, it is used for demonstration purposes, but it will also diversify the appearance of veterinary offices.
  • Frog dissection model - it is a very realistic and detailed frog body, with removable, anatomically correct organs. The set includes a frog model, a preparation mat, a preparation instrument, a pin, as well as a laboratory guide and a live online course.
Additionally, in our online store we have a replacement set of organs for the Frog Section Model, this model allows multiple uses of the same body. Just replace the used innards with new ones.

Application of amphibian anatomical models:

  • Education – an irreplaceable tool used in biology lessons in primary and secondary schools and at veterinary universities.
  • Scientific research - allows you to present the physiology of the animal body and explain the mechanisms of conducting research.
  • Decoration – anatomical models of amphibians will be an ideal element of the decor of veterinary offices and clinics.
The anatomical models offered in the online store are made of high-quality materials, so they will last for years. Amphibian models are an excellent teaching aid for demonstration purposes and deepen knowledge about a given species. The models are three-dimensional, perfectly reproducing the external and internal structure.
We also have models of birds and fish, which, combined with models of amphibians, will create an ideal set for learning anatomy and physiology. We believe that we are able to meet your expectations and provide an ideal tool for expanding your skills and the necessary learning materials.
